Last updated: September 22, 2026Scanero — Easy Mobile Cleaner ("Scanero", "the app", "we", "us") is developed and operated by Yana Nazaruk ("the developer"). Scanero helps you find and remove duplicate photos, similar images, screenshots, Live Photos and oversized videos, compress video files, and keep selected media in a PIN-protected Secret Space.
This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles information when you use it on your iOS device. By using Scanero, you agree to the practices described here.
To do its job, Scanero requests access to specific parts of your device. We aim to request only what each feature genuinely needs, and to process that information on your device wherever the feature allows it.
Scanero does not request access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, or health data, and does not need an account or sign-in to function.
We use the information above only to:
We do not use your photos or videos to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Photo and video analysis — including duplicate detection, similarity comparison, and compression previews — is performed locally on your device. Media you move into Secret Space remains on your device, protected by the PIN you set; we do not maintain a separate copy of your PIN or your hidden media on our servers.
Because your PIN is the only key to Secret Space, we recommend choosing a code you'll remember — if it's lost, we may not be able to help you recover access to items stored there.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited, non-identifying diagnostic data with service providers who help us operate the app (for example, crash-reporting or analytics infrastructure), under agreements that restrict how they may use it. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Scanero, our users, or others.
Media you delete through Scanero (duplicates, similar shots, compressed originals, etc.) is removed according to your device's normal deletion behavior, which may include a temporary "Recently Deleted" period managed by iOS itself. Items in Secret Space remain until you remove them or delete the app. Diagnostic logs are kept only as long as needed to investigate and resolve issues, and are then deleted or anonymized.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because most of Scanero's processing happens on your device rather than on our servers, many of these choices are already in your hands — for example, uninstalling the app removes locally stored data, including Secret Space contents. Scanero is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our practices. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Scanero after a change means you accept the revised policy.
